In 1846, cricket was formally established in Chennai — the modern Indian game's first organised home. Six years later, in 1852, the Singapore Cricket Club was founded at the Padang, in the heart of what would become Marina Bay.
The mathematical midpoint between these two foundings is 1849 — the year our name remembers. 2049 marks the bicentenary of that midpoint, and the horizon toward which we work.

Founded in 1852, the Singapore Cricket Club is one of the nation's oldest sporting institutions. Its home at the Padang — flanked by colonial-era civic landmarks and the Marina Bay waterfront — has been the spiritual centre of cricket in Singapore for over 170 years.
Founded in 2008 and headquartered at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk — the city where Indian cricket took organised form in 1846 — Chennai Super Kings carry one of the IPL's most decorated legacies. The SuperKings Academy brings elite coaching infrastructure to the partnership.
